Last week we wandered around Aveiro’s lagoon city capital, Aveiro, for one of its most peculiar festivities. This week we go to the extreme north of the lagoon, somewhere between Esmoriz and Paramos, where there is a beautiful pathway along the dunes, the lagoon and the Paramo’s lake. This place is commonly known as “barrinha de Esmoriz”. [Barrinha Esmoriz]
We started our hike from Paramos beach, by the sea, heading south and to the lagoon. The only unpleasant moment we had was a few smelly moments when passing by the wastewater treatment plant, overcoming those instants you are all eyes on nature and the bird life.
If you also want to feel the refreshing breeze from the sea, many of the pathways also take you straight to the ocean, where is common to see many surfers challenging the beautiful waves.
